We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Remote Venture Capitalist to support and fund initiatives at a unique zoo organization. Responsibilities

• Assess potential investment opportunities aligned with the zoo’s mission and strategic goals
• Conduct due diligence on startups, organizations, and projects seeking funding
• Develop comprehensive financial models and investment proposals
• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other stakeholders
• Monitor ongoing investments and provide strategic guidance to portfolio organizations
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify new areas for innovation and growth within the zoo’s ecosystem
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in conservation-focused ventures

Skills

• Proven experience in venture capital, private equity, or related financial roles
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate business models and financial statements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building professional relationships remotely
