Removal driver and porter

Are you physically fit, and looking for a chance of becoming a removal porter or if you also have an HGV licence a potential to be a driver. If so this may be the opportunity for you to take a look!

We are looking for someone with experience of the removal industry to join our loyal hard working team. Transport to our location is a must.

We would ideally like people with removals experience but understand this may not have been everyone's first choice as a career but please don't let that put you off if you think this could be for you.

If you are honest hardworking, possess practical skills, patient nature and have good people skills then we would be interested in hearing from you.

Appearance and personal hygiene is also a major consideration as we spend most of our time in clients houses and as they say first impressions count! We expect the provided uniform to be worn and kept clean.

You'll be starting and finishing your day from Lawford, Essex but your work could take you anywhere in the country. The start and finish times are very varied as our work takes us to all parts of the country. You may be required to stay away from home when travelling distances. Flexibility is very important as sadly 9-5 does not exist in the world of removals.

We would welcome CV's or letters hand written by yourselves. If you have no work experience as you have just finished education then please explain this. If you do have experience please include references.

Full training will be provided and we aim to assist in progressing you through the business as time goes by. The job is physically demanding so applicants must enjoy physical work and working In all the elements the UK weather can throw at us. Exceptional level of customer care is a must.

The role would include:

Packing clients belongings ready for moving

Loading and unloading the vehicles at clients properties and also at our warehouse

A good level of practical DIY would be a benefit for the furniture dismantling/reassembly.

Skills:

Polite and well mannered with a calm personality

Able to work well within a team and also sometimes on your own
