Rental Home Housekeeper

RENTAL HOME HOUSEKEEPER - FULL TIME & PART TIME

PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS

Assures the Rental Homes exceed facility standards for cleanliness and orderliness, and that the Rental Housekeeping staff exceeds facility standards for friendliness and helpfulness to the guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Cleans/maintains the cleanliness of Rental Homes.
  • Makes beds and changes linens.
  • Cleans bathroom, replaces terry, and replenishes supplies.
  • Cleans kitchen, living area, entry ways, stairs, basements, (entire home)
  • Straightens furniture.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, and polishes floor.
  • Dusts furniture, vacuums floors.
  • Spot cleans walls and woodwork.
  • Washes: windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets.
  • Incorporate safe work practices while performing job.
  • Clean fire place and replenish fire wood
  • Reports maintenance deficiencies and defects such as dirty carpet, sofas, or other items in need of repair.
  • Transfers items left in the homes to Rental Housekeeping, and documents the finding of the item.
  • Follow all key control policies and procedures.
  • Sets heat or air conditioners to specific settings according to procedure.
  • Return the linen to the linen boxes.
  • Annual Deep Cleans:remove all the soft goods and furniture and clean under and around every piece of furniture. And also high dusting and all the soft goods are sent to dry cleaning.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow associates.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of cleaning guest homes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds. Job frequently requires standing, walking, kneeling, crouching. Must be able to effectively clean guest homes.

HOURS

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
