Essential Functions:
As the Repair Station Manager you will lead the entire repair station as a business manager. You will delegate authority to managers, supervisors, and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support and production to perform all contract requirements. You will provide guidance for workforce management. You will conduct business development and manage repair station finances ensuring the repair station meets performance goals and deadlines. Other responsibilities include
- Manage all aspects of team members in order to reach our goals
- Establish aircraft maintenance personnel management policies, practices, and procedures including the ability to adjust work operations to meet emergencies
- Plan, direct, and supervise activities of a large-scale aircraft maintenance organization and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of a highly diversified workforce through subordinate supervisors
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
- Evaluate and use a continuous process improvement program to consistently guarantee highly effective maintenance operations
- Serve as positive role model for ethical behavior and promote an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles that is consistent with these principles; promote and support the mission of the company
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior aviation repair business management experience
- Aviation maintenance sales and customer service experience
- 15 years aviation experience with 5 years management experience
- 145 repair station experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting, billing, and receivables/payables
- Ability to generate and close-out estimates and work orders
- Experience with hiring, training, coaching, reprimanding, and terminating employees
- Knowledge of 145 repair station manuals, regulations, and programs
