Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and business objectives.
Lead a team of production planners, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.
Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on delivery commitments and resource availability.
Monitor and analyze production performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory turns) and drive corrective actions.
Optimize material requirements planning (MRP), master production scheduling (MPS), and capacity planning processes.
Ensure accurate and timely update of production schedules, including handling of changes, exceptions, and prioritization of urgent orders.
Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to generate reports, forecasts, and dashboards for senior management review.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve planning accuracy, and increase operational agility.
Manage supplier and internal capacity constraints proactively to prevent production bottlenecks.
Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards within the planning function.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA or certification in Supply Chain/Operations (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
5–10 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of leading production planning teams and delivering on-time delivery targets.
Expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred), MRP, MPS, and demand planning tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic production environments.
Experience in a high-volume, continuous manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
