Develop, implement, and maintain a robust HSE management system aligned with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Coordinate and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all levels of staff, including contractors and third-party vendors.
Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external auditors during inspections and certifications.
Ensure all safety documentation, permits, and records are up to date and readily available for review.
Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, engagement initiatives, and continuous communication.
Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and crisis management coordination.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or OSHA) is highly desirable.
5–10 years of progressive experience in HSE management within industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in petrochemical, chemical, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
Proven track record of managing HSE compliance in high-risk environments with zero tolerance for non-conformance.
In-depth knowledge of Indian safety regulations (Factories Act, EPA, FSI, etc.) and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive evidence-based improvements.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders across all levels.
Proficiency in HSE software tools and digital reporting systems for monitoring and documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team under pressure and tight deadlines.
