  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust HSE management system aligned with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all levels of staff, including contractors and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external auditors during inspections and certifications.
  • Ensure all safety documentation, permits, and records are up to date and readily available for review.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, engagement initiatives, and continuous communication.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and crisis management coordination.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in HSE management within industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in petrochemical, chemical, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing HSE compliance in high-risk environments with zero tolerance for non-conformance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian safety regulations (Factories Act, EPA, FSI, etc.) and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive evidence-based improvements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proficiency in HSE software tools and digital reporting systems for monitoring and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team under pressure and tight deadlines.
