Require a Purchasing Officer in Manama, Bahrain

  • Identifying and sourcing reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Requesting and comparing quotations to secure the best quality products at competitive prices.
  • Negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitoring orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Working closely with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and operational needs.
  • Monitoring stock levels and coordinating purchases to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock control activities.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
  • Tracking market trends and identifying opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.



Requirements

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Hospitality industry experience will be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
  • Good understanding of inventory management and purchasing procedures.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
