Field Inspector Job – Derrick & Structural Inspection

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Inspector to join our inspection and engineering team. The ideal candidate will hold valid CSWIP and NDT Level-II certifications, possess excellent English communication skills, and be comfortable working at height and in offshore environments. This role involves inspection, reporting, and coordination for rig structures such as masts, derricks, and substructures, ensuring compliance with API 4F / 4G and internal engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural and weld inspections on both onshore and offshore drilling rigs.

• Perform NDT testing (UT, MPI, DPI, or equivalent) as required.

• Assist in rig structural surveys, refurbishment assessments, and fit-up verification.

• Work confidently and safely at height on derrick and mast structures.

• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographic documentation and dimensional data.

• Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams for repair recommendations.

• Maintain strict adherence to company and client safety policies at all times.

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent.

• NDT Level-II certification (minimum in UT and MPI).

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

• Physically fit and willing to climb mast and derrick structures.

• Willingness to work offshore and travel on short notice.

• Commitment to obtain or renew BOSIET certification (company-supported).

  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Prior offshore or rig inspection experience.

• Familiarity with API 4F / 4G / 8C standards.

• Basic understanding of structural drawings and weld symbols.

• Strong observation, documentation, and reporting abilities.
