Impact Statement
The Store Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Vice President of Operations by ensuring the smooth, efficient, and mission aligned daily operations of the MAM Resale Store. This position directly contributes to increased merchandise availability, quality, and customer experience—driving revenue that enables MAM to expand programs and services for our community. As MAM continues to grow, the Store Supervisor helps build scalable processes, supports staff and volunteers, and ensures the resale operation remains welcoming, organized, and community centered.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Serve as the on site leader in the absence of management, ensuring seamless store operations.
- Open and close the resale store/boutique, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, cash handling, and completion of daily reports.
- Support day to day operations with a mindset of continuous improvement as MAM grows and expands.
- Collaborate with management to communicate workroom priorities, operational needs, and opportunities for efficiency.
Staff & Volunteer Oversight
- Supervise staff, SER volunteers, and Community Service Volunteers (CSV) as assigned.
- Prioritize, assign, and support volunteer and CSV tasks to meet daily operational goals.
- Orient, train, schedule, and supervise SER Volunteers, reinforcing expectations and MAM’s mission driven culture.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for staff and volunteers.
Customer Experience & Mission Representation
- Model proactive, compassionate, and professional customer service with customers, donors, volunteers, and coworkers.
- Serve as a visible ambassador of MAM’s mission and values within the resale environment.
- Support a positive donor and shopper experience aligned with MAM’s community impact goals.
Merchandising & Quality Control
- Provide Quality Assurance oversight for donation sorting and merchandise preparation.
- Ensure adequate stock levels on the sales floor and maintain back stock for efficient restocking.
- Support merchandising activities including sorting, cleaning, pricing, and stocking merchandise.
- Assist with cashiering as needed.
Flexibility & Cross Coverage
- Assist in other areas of the resale operation as needed to cover absences or balance peak workload times.
- Support evolving operational needs as MAM continues to expand its facilities, services, and resale offerings.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Merchandising experience helpful.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and smell.
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods, walk, sit, use a keyboard, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Required to remain at a workstation (standing) for prolonged periods.

Working Conditions / Work Environment
- Primary work location is a climate controlled indoor resale space.
- Regularly requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Flexibility for local travel related to job responsibilities.
- Must provide reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and meet Texas minimum auto insurance requirements.
Remote Work (Limited & As Needed)
- Primary work location is on site at MAM.
- Under limited circumstances (e.g., weather closures or public health situations), certain tasks may be performed remotely, as determined by management based on business needs. These may include: Sorting and cleaning merchandis (e.g., silver, glass); pricing items; posting itmes to the MAM Resale Online Store, hosting live online sales among other duties as assigned.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
