The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research and Development Coordinator with a PhD degree to spearhead our collaborative research and development efforts with leading universities. This pivotal role will be responsible for coordinating and guiding academic research to align with OdineLabs' strategic objectives and product roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for translating innovative research into impactful solutions for the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Research Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with university professors and graduate students in relevant fields (e.g., Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking).

Academic Project Guidance: Coordinate and provide technical guidance to academic research projects to ensure alignment with OdineLabs' priorities and research interests.

Preparation of RnD Project Applications: Prepare and submit project applications for national and international RnD funds.

Requirement Alignment: Collaborate closely with the OdineLabs Product Team to understand product requirements and translate them into actionable research directions for academic partners.

Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and research findings from academia to OdineLabs' internal R&D teams.

Intellectual Property Management: Coordinate the generation and management of academic publications (papers) and intellectual property (patents) arising from collaborative research.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor the progress of academic research projects, track key milestones, and provide clear and concise reports to OdineLabs management.

Relationship Building: Foster a collaborative and productive working environment with academic partners, ensuring open communication and mutual understanding.

Exploration of New Research Avenues: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in relevant academic research areas and identify potential new collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education: PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electronics Engineering, AI Engineering, or a closely related field.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of communication networks (telco, 5G), artificial intelligence/machine learning principles, and network orchestration concepts.

Research Experience: Proven track record of conducting and guiding research projects.

Academic Acumen: Familiarity with the academic research environment, publication processes, and intellectual property considerations. Prior academic career experience is highly desirable.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both academic and industry professionals.

Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.

Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Turkish is highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in securing research grants or funding.

Established network within the Turkish academic community in relevant fields.

Experience in technology transfer or industry-academia collaboration.
