General Summary:

Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff, faculty and students. This position will lead and develop individual teams. This position will supervise and serve as a leadership position with the custodial team. Position will follow policy and procedures. This position’s hours will mostly be in the evenings except during academic school breaks. Due to the nature of the job, this is not a remote working position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Model and instruct professional behavior to team members

• Schedule staff to provide custodial duties restroom cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, dusting, special events.

• Oversee and ensure staffing, tasks and work schedules are completed.

• Ensure all employee time sheets are submitted in a timely manner

• Be firm with decisions

• Become familiar and follow SKC policies and procedures

• Maintain positive working relationships with administration, faculty, staff, supervisors and team members

• Responsible for the verification of job completion and work hours of team members (6-12)

• Check and secure buildings at end of shift

• Maintain and perform Preventive Maintenance of cleaning equipment

• Maintain and upkeep vehicles (check fluids and keep clean)

• Report any additional duties or changes in cleaning schedule

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• At least three years documented supervisory experience

• Ability to train, coach and motivate

• Must have the ability to work as a team player

• Possess good work ethic

• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality
