The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Assistant position. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team in support of one of the projects under our center grant. The ideal candidate will have experience in human subjects research, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and administrative support within a research setting. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of research, from participant interaction to regulatory compliance and project administration.

Duties And Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will work closely with the Project Leads to accomplish specific project aims. Responsibilities include

• Conduct participant screening, recruitment, and consenting in accordance with IRB-approved protocols.
• Facilitate focus groups and support qualitative research activities, including transcription, coding, and data analysis.
• Enter and manage study data in REDCap, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with IRB preparation, submission, and ongoing reporting.
• Maintain regulatory binders and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Support center administrative tasks such as coordinating contracts, processing invoices, and supporting pilot studies.
• Collaborate with project staff to ensure smooth project operations and compliance with grant and institutional guidelines.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, or related field required;
• Minimum 1 year (full-time equivalent) of clinical or clinical research experience in psychiatry, including direct interaction with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, or related field
• Background in mental health field preferred.
• More than (1) year of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness (e.g., in outpatient, inpatient, or community mental health settings).
• More than (1) year of experience conducting clinical interviews, psychiatric symptom assessments, or neurocognitive testing.
