Job Description
The Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position. The appointment is for 15 months. The successful candidate will contribute to a funded research project focused on the design, fabrication, and evaluation of advanced electrospun nanofiber scaffolds loaded with complex regenerative bioactives (e.g., stem cells, exosomes, peptides, and growth factors) for applications in skin regeneration, wound healing, and cosmeceuticals. The selected candidate will be actively involved in fabrication of nanofibers using blend and coaxial electrospinning techniques, loading and stabilization of drugs and sensitive biologics and within nanofiber systems, formulation of nanoparticles such as nanovesicles and nanoemulsions and polymeric nanoparticles, physicochemical and biological characterization of nanoparticles, In vitro and in vivo evaluation of nanoparticles, as well as manuscript preparation and dissemination of research findings. Selection will be based on academic qualifications, relevant research experience, and demonstrated alignment with the project objectives. Applicants should submit:
-
A cover letter outlining research interests and relevant experience
-
A detailed CV
-
Two to three representative publications
-
Contact details of two referees
Minimum Qualification
-
PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or a closely related field
