Research Assistant (Student)

Job Description:

InsectaPel is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (student) with expertise or training in Chemistry/ Biology/ Entomology to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on in developing coating products infused with natural insect repellents for use in surface treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or entomology and will contribute to research, product development, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the synthesis and characterization of new materials for insect repellent coatings
• Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate performance and durability of insect repellent coatings
• Analyze data and optimize formulations for enhanced product performance
• Maintain detailed records of experiments, results, and findings
• Assist in scale-up and commercialization efforts for new formulations
• Collaborate with senior personnel and engineers on research projects
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of study in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Biology. Entomology would be a plus
• Hands-on laboratory experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• College/University students are eligible to apply

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with analytical chemistry and product analysis techniques
• Knowledge of surface coatings or related applications

Compensation & Benefits:
