We’re IQ Proteomics! We specialize in quantitative multiplexed proteomic applications. We are a full-service company providing proteomic characterization for a wide range of samples. We utilize technology leading instrumentation and methodologies, providing sensitive, accurate, and reproducible proteomic characterization. We’re also growing our team and are looking for a full-time Research Associate .

The Details…

The Research Associate’s primary role is to complete experiments in support of our contract research operations. This position is hands-on and execution-focused, supporting multiple client projects simultaneously. The candidate will prepare and generate samples using a variety of Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) for analysis via mass spectrometry. These experiments require the candidate to have some biochemical laboratory experience and a desire to learn high-throughput approaches for proteomics. The candidate is expected to possess multi-tasking and organizational skills to complete multi-step experiments that extend across days and weeks to see one or more project(s) to completion. Exceptional note taking is necessary for reproducibility and accuracy of our workflows and SOPs.

Generally, duties include:

· Following standard operating procedures to prepare cells, tissues, biofluids, and proteins for quantitative mass spectrometry

· Generating, analyzing, and interpreting data using commercial and proprietary software

· Taking detailed notes and observations and document them in electronic notebooks

· Participating in and contribute to scientific discussions and meetings

· Being able to simultaneously work on multiple projects with tight deadlines

· Collaborating cross-functionally across the entire team at IQ Proteomics

What You’ve Done…

· Attained a B.S. or M.S. degree in a life sciences field with at least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience in an industry or contract research environment.

· Relevant experience includes protein chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry, analytical chemistry, biophysics, chemical biology, proteomics, mass spectrometry.

· Bonus points if you have hands-on experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
