The 3D Chromatin Organisation Laboratory, within SAiGENCI, is seeking a passionate and detail oriented Research Coordinator to contribute to cutting edge cancer research. The Laboratory is embedded within the Resistance Prevention Program at the South Australian immunoGENomics Institute (SAiGENCI), an independent institute affiliated with the University of Adelaide and in alliance with the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN).

As the Research Coordinator, you will work under general direction, independently and as part of a team, planning, performing and analysing data from a variety of wet laboratory experiments. You will also support general laboratory housekeeping to ensure grant milestones are met on time.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in performing a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including but not limited to cell/tissue culture, gene and protein expression techniques and generation of engineered cell/tissue cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, troubleshoot, optimise and share new techniques in the laboratory, with a meticulous approach to experimental work, data collection and interpretation, and well developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to share research progress in team meetings, discuss potential problems as they arise, and listen actively.
  • High level organisational skills to coordinate and provide logistical support to lab members and balance competing demands from multiple projects without direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with health, safety and wellbeing policies, and biosafety requirements.
