Research Data Analyst

About ProdPro

ProdPro is a data and intelligence platform serving the entertainment industry. Our subscribers rely on us for accurate, timely information about productions worldwide, and our research team is at the heart of how that information stays current and trustworthy.

About the Role

We're hiring a Research Data Analyst to help maintain the quality of our database. The role centers on processing incoming information from a variety of sources, reconciling it against existing records, and partnering with our research team to resolve anything unclear before it goes live.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who genuinely enjoys the work. The steady rhythm of working through a list, the satisfaction of a clean record, the small thrill of catching a discrepancy that others would have missed. You'll spend your day in our database and source materials, not in meetings.

This position is based in our Berkeley Heights, NJ office and is on-site five days a week.

What You'll Do

  • Review incoming information against existing records and apply updates where appropriate.
  • Identify discrepancies and decide what is safe to update directly versus what requires further verification.
  • Hand off verification tasks to researchers with clear context on what needs to be confirmed.
  • Track open items, follow up on aging tasks, and close the loop by updating records once confirmations come in.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail on each record so the team always knows what changed and what is still pending.
  • Surface patterns and recurring issues to help the team continue to improve how we work.

What We're Looking ForRequired

  • 2+ years of experience in a research, data, editorial, or analyst role where accuracy was the core measure of your work.
  • Proven ability to reconcile information from multiple sources and make defensible judgment calls.
  • Comfort working in structured data environments such as spreadsheets, internal tools, or database-style applications.
  • Clear written communication, especially when handing off work to others.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership over the quality of your work.
  • Ability to work on-site in Berkeley Heights, NJ five days a week.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the entertainment industry.
  • Background in a precision-oriented field such as paralegal work, accounting, audit, or editorial.
  • Light data manipulation skills such as Excel or basic SQL.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
