Purpose

CEEW seeks to hire a research intern to assist the CEO Office, primarily for its ongoing research on the water-food-energy nexus. The job involves supporting the Chief of Staff and the Research Analyst with outputs relating to the subject, as well as other written outputs for internal use within the CEO’s office relating to any of CEEW’s programmatic areas.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

Research & Analysis:

  • Research and analysis support on outputs from the CEO Office, relating to the water-food-energy nexus.
  • Literature review and summarisation of existing India and Global South-specific work falling under the nexus, as well as other relevant subjects as necessary.
  • Compilation and authorship support with internal documents for the CEO.
  • Assimilation of discrete data into consolidated datasets, as necessary.
  • Analysis of existing datasets and utilising analytical tools

Selection Criteria

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in subjects relating to public policy, economics, energy and related fields.
  • Understanding of geopolitics and geoeconomics, India’s environment and energy landscape, and India’s policy landscape as related to CEEW’s programmatic areas.
  • Candidates with prior work or internship experience in related fields are desirable

Key Skills

  • Must have strong research skills; the capability to carry out literature reviews is a key requisite.
  • Familiarity with public policy research methodology.
  • The ability to critically analyse existing research.
  • Data analysis skills on programmes such as Excel, Python, R, and STATA are desirable.
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work on multi-disciplinary projects.
