The Research & Intelligence function sits at the core of Vulcury’s operating model—supporting strategy, product direction, market understanding, and competitive positioning across all portfolio companies.

We are seeking a Research Lead capable of building and running this function with intellectual rigor, structured problem-solving, and cross-domain fluency.

Role Overview

The Research Lead will own the full spectrum of research activities across Vulcury’s portfolio. This is a partner-facing role requiring strategy-consulting discipline, multi-industry breadth, and the ability to translate ambiguous questions into crisp, actionable insights. You will work directly with the CEO and venture leads, shaping research that influences product strategy, investment theses, market entry decisions, and portfolio-wide intelligence systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research agenda across all Vulcury ventures, with emphasis on:

  
  

  • Investment & Markets (Calisade) — macro analysis, sector deep dives, thematic research, competitive benchmarking, regulatory tracking.

  
  

  • Supply Chain & Manufacturing (Trustbridge) — global supplier landscape mapping, cost structures, technology trends, capacity benchmarking, and strategic sourcing intelligence.

  
  

  • Additional Ventures — education markets, AI adoption curves, global mobility ecosystems, and other domains as needed.

  
  

• Scope, structure, and deliver end-to-end research projects using top-tier consulting methodologies.




• Create high-quality decks, memos, and insight briefs for leadership and product teams.




• Build problem-solving frameworks, research templates, and internal knowledge repositories.




• Partner with engineering teams to translate research needs into AI-enabled tools and data workflows.




• Oversee junior analysts across India and the U.S., mentoring them in structured thinking and intellectual quality.




• Conduct competitive, market, regulatory, financial, and customer research with precision and speed.




• Support high-stakes decision processes: new venture incubation, capital raises, strategic pivots, GTM direction, and operational scaling.
