Research/Medical Assistant Dermatology

At our Medical Dermatology Group, our provider is a leader in the field of medical and cosmetic dermatology, Side and is located on the Upper East side of Manhattan.

Research/Medical Assistant

• Assist the physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures in research
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
• Learn from current research coordinators and conduct part-time research when Dermatology skills are up to par, under the supervision of the principal investigator and clinical research manager
• Help with research publications

Qualifications

• A College Degree is required, and if applying to medical school, the MCAT must be completed
• This is a 2 year position.
• Dermatology medical assistant experience is required.
• Experience using ModMed EMR software and patient scheduling systems a plus
• Experience working in healthcare or in healthcare research
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relations and customer services skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
