Job purpose
Tiny Boxwoods Productions Reservationists care deeply about our culture and will provide a genuine sense of hospitality. They exceed guests’ expectations by providing friendly, authentic, and polite service with a pleasing personality and a smile. The Reservationist assists managers in keeping bookings organized, answering phone inquiries, and working in part with events.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities of being a Reservationist include the following:
- Must have advanced knowledge of reservation system and point of sale software.
- Interact socially with guests with enthusiasm in a polite and friendly manner for entirety of shift.
- Ensure all guests are well taken care and needs are met.
- Must learn and be knowledgeable of food and beverage menu.
- Answer guests’ questions in a confident and accurate manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with management of each restaurant.
- Organize reservations for each restaurant to ensure that timing is adequate for guest enjoyment while also maximizing seating potential.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly.
- Perform up to company standards, expectations, and policies.
- Must always be pressed and tailored and follow company dress code policy.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Qualifications
- Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the position of Reservationist.
Qualifications include:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Must possess a polite and hospitable attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexible availability in scheduling particularly weekend and evening shifts
- Capacity to multitask
- Must be passionate about hospitality

Working conditions
The incumbent will be working alternately in an office or restaurant/bar setting. Hazards may include slipping and tripping. Incumbent may also be required to work in an outdoor setting. Frequent handwashing is required.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to clearly speak, understand, read, and write as needed. The incumbent is required to sit for long periods, minimal lifting maybe required. Must be able to read, write and determine reservation times based on Tiny Boxwoods Productions procedures. Must be able to answer and verbally communicate via telephone.
