Hiring Restaurant Reservationist + Manager Assistant

(Location: SF financial district)

Compensation: Starting at $19.18 or $20 depending on experience. After 90 days probation period, we will add $2.74 per hour. Your pay will increase to $21.92 or $22.74 per hour.

We are hiring a part-time reservationist + assistant at our fine Japanese sushi restaurant.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable worker who is able to multitask and preferably has reservationist/ assistant experience. Working days will be 2 days per week (currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays) for 6 to 7 hours a day. Working time starts around 12:30pm as default. We might ask to come earlier and work later. We also ask you to help the restaurant services as needed.

Job responsibility:
- Call guests and take and confirm reservations

-Check 10 to 20 calls and voicemails on a daily basis

-Use 3 different reservation systems to accommodate guests (Sevenrooms, Opentable, Tock) as well as POS system for the menu changes.

-Take drink inventory and fill up the refrigerator (there will be some lifting, 10 to 25lb)

-Create a seating summary for that day using MS excel

-Create food and drink menu using MS word

-Assist Manager for miscellaneous work

-Have Positive attitude and energy to staff and guests

Criteria:
-Be able to speak English professionally and clearly

-Have restaurant experience as a reservationist & manager assistant preferred

-Have sense of urgency

-Somewhat PC savvy

-Be able to work for years

-Be able to speak Japanese or other language is a good plus

- Experience with POS system is a huge plus

-If asked, work in the weekend or be flexibly available on other weekdays
-Must be LEGAL US citizen or have a LEGAL working permit
