Position Details:
Schedule: 9 shifts per pay period
Hours: 10:30pm - 6:30am
Total Hours: 72 hours per pay period
Includes: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Compensation:
- Base pay: $19.61 – $21.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differential: Additional pay for PM $2.00 per hour and NOC shifts $3 per hour (if applicable)

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the resident with personal cares which may include all or some of the following: dressing, grooming, oral cares, toileting, management of incontinence products, showering, shampooing hair, rubbing with lotions, fingernail/toenail care, foot cares if instructed to do so, medication administration, redirection of confused resident, and other cares as assigned.
- Assist in use of hearing aids, glasses, walkers, wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN.
- Medication administration/assistance as delegated by RN.
- Assist with meal preparation as directed following special meal plans.
- Lead resident activities as scheduled and assigned.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to RN.
- Observe residents and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.
- Follow cleaning schedule per shift worked maintaining a clean and safe environment for the resident.
- Recognize safety responsibilities of employee for the resident. Report occupational hazards and/or incidents of injury to appropriate personnel.
- Recognize employee’s responsibility for his / her own safety while on the job and for the safety of others. Recognize and remove environmental dangers.
- Complete maintenance service request slips for equipment in need of repairs.
- Apply principles of good body mechanics when lifting and moving objects.
- Use transfer techniques consistent with proper body mechanics.
- Follow proper procedure and participate in disaster planning drills (fire, tornado, severe weather, etc.) when on duty.
- Practice fire safety and accident prevention procedures.
- Maintain calm manner in tense situations.
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings as assigned.
- Develop knowledge of actions to be implemented in emergency situations.
- Develop knowledge of Standard Precautions and follow infection control procedures.
- Follow policy and procedures governing the operation of Glenwood Village Care Center and Parkview Court Assisted Living.
- Attend home care orientation and receive instruction regarding department duties.
- Attend general orientation.
- Understand use of department procedure manual.
- Must understand and adhere to Vulnerable Adult Abuse Prevention Policy.
- Must adhere to HIPPA privacy rules and regulations.
- Must uphold resident’s rights at all times.
