Resident Assistant/Med Tech

Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant/Med Tech, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position combines the responsibilities of assisting with daily living activities and administering medication, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and respected. Whether working in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care settings, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring senior care. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring nutritional needs are met in a safe environment.
  • Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans that respect each resident’s preferences and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Support transportation needs by driving residents when necessary for appointments or community outings.

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, & assisted living environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration and vital signs monitoring.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is desirable.
  • Proven ability to provide compassionate personal care within a long-term care or group home setting.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
