Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Aide, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health status is maintained
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities using electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition intake
- Conduct routine cleaning of resident rooms and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment that promotes health and safety
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to encourage socialization and mental stimulation
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs
- Use effective communication skills to support residents’ emotional well-being and foster positive relationships
- Maintain safety standards by following infection control protocols and emergency procedures such as First Aid when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support techniques, and behavior management strategies
- Certification or training in First Aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain required certifications upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus
- Ability to accurately take vital signs and administer medications following established guidelines
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to resident support
- Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes
- Valid driver’s license preferred for driving residents or supplies when necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect empathetically with residents and team members

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
