Job Overview
The Resident Care Specialist plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in a supportive living environment. This position involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Help residents with mobility and transportation needs within the facility.
• Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents by following health and safety protocols.
• Document resident care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with team members to develop personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in healthcare or related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
