Trantor Software Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Migration – Resident Engineer for a high-impact engagement with our prestigious client Palo Alto Networks. This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role for professionals passionate about enterprise security, firewall migrations, and next-generation security solutions.

Role Summary

As a Resident Engineer, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) working closely with customer project teams and Project Managers to drive successful deployment, migration, and operationalization of Palo Alto Networks solutions. You will play a critical role in helping customers adopt best practices and enhance their security posture.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver deployment, configuration, and operational services for Palo Alto Networks NGFW solutions

Lead and execute firewall migrations from other vendors to Palo Alto NGFW

(Checkpoint → NGFW and Cisco ASA → NGFW experience highly preferred)

Optimize and operationalize security solutions within enterprise customer networks

Integrate solutions into customer workflows using best-practice methodologies

Proactively track and communicate project status, risks, and issues

Collaborate with TAC teams for troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics

Create and maintain customer documentation and templates

Work independently or lead technical teams based on project requirements

Candidate Profile

5–10 years of experience with enterprise security products and technologies

3+ years managing security solutions in large-scale environments

Hands-on experience in Cisco ASA to Palo Alto NGFW migrations

Strong understanding of enterprise security threat landscape

In-depth knowledge of Internet protocols and applications

Proven experience with deployment, troubleshooting, and operations of high-end firewall appliances (Palo Alto Networks preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask and manage parallel priorities effectively

Exposure to MS Project or similar tools

Scripting experience (Python, Bash) is a plus

Demonstrated project leadership skills

Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC are highly desirable

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience
