Resident Engineer – Design Consultancy & Supervision

We are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer to oversee and manage construction supervision activities for major projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will represent the Consultant on-site, ensuring that construction works are executed in accordance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site supervision team, including engineers, inspectors, and support staff.
• Act as the Consultant's representative on-site and liaise with the Client, Contractor, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and work procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Review progress reports, site instructions, variation orders, and payment certificates.
• Identify project risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Support project delivery within approved schedules and budgets.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Must be a Dubai Municipality Approved Engineer and possess approvals/accreditations from other relevant UAE governing authorities, as applicable.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering consultancy and construction supervision.
• Extensive experience as a Resident Engineer on major building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project administration, and supervision procedures.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary supervision teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and contractual correspondence.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, regulations, and authority requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as PMP, Chartered Engineer, PE, or equivalent.
• Previous experience on large-scale projects in the UAE.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is an advantage.
