About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of a leading UAE government infrastructure entity for two experienced Resident Engineers – SCADA Systems Supervision.

This role focuses on real-time monitoring, supervision, and optimization of critical water and wastewater infrastructure systems. You will oversee SCADA platform operations, ensure system performance, and support mission-critical infrastructure in a high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor and supervise SCADA dashboards for water/wastewater facilities

* Manage system alarms and respond to incidents in real time

* Act as the primary technical authority for SCADA architecture and operations

* Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and client stakeholders

* Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (log analysis, diagnostics, trends)

* Execute patch management, upgrades, and system optimizations

* Oversee integrations (PLC, RTU, historians, dashboards) with strict governance

* Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and operational standards

* Provide 24/7 support availability for critical incidents

* Maintain documentation, configuration baselines, and version control

* Train and guide end-users (operators, engineers, administrators)

* Support GIS integration, reporting tools, and digital twin readiness

Required Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent

* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SCADA experience in enterprise environments

* Strong background in water, wastewater, or industrial infrastructure

* Experience with PLC systems, HMI design, networking, and data acquisition

* Knowledge of protocols: Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3, IEC 104

* Experience in remote/offshore supervision environments

* Fluent in English (written & verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with SCADA platforms such as AVEVA, Wonderware, Ignition

* GCC / Middle East project experience

* Knowledge of water treatment processes and infrastructure monitoring

* Experience in SCADA cybersecurity and system hardening

* Exposure to redundancy architecture and disaster recovery planning

* Hands-on experience with historian systems and advanced analytics

Technical Skills

* SCADA configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting

* HMI design and system diagnostics

* Real-time monitoring and alarm management

* Data logging, reporting, and historian systems

* Industrial networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet)

* PLC programming and integration

Work Details
