Resident Engineer - Water Projects

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Resident Engineer who is willing to relocate to Angola . The ideal candidate must be a senior-level engineer with demonstrated expertise in supervising the construction of water supply concrete reservoirs or similar infrastructure projects. The Resident Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of the works, in line with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

The successful candidate must have experience overseeing at least three similar projects within the last ten years and should possess strong oral and written communication skills, effective leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage project teams in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Sanitary Engineering is required.
• A postgraduate degree in the same fields is an added advantage.
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in supervising works of similar nature and complexity.
• At least 5 years of experience working on internationally financed infrastructure projects (e.g., World Bank, African Development Bank, etc.).
• Proven track record in the supervision of water supply concrete reservoirs or structurally comparable infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in relevant engineering software and general computer applications.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and supervision methodologies.
• Regional Experience:
• Previous work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is highly desirable.
• Prior work in Angola is a strong plus.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential.
• Knowledge of Portuguese is an asset and will be considered favorably.
