Resident Escort

Job Description:

Full Time: 8:30am- 4:30pm

A Resident Escort is responsible for assisting and transporting residents or patients safely within a healthcare, rehabilitation, or assisted living facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring residents arrive to appointments, meals, and activities on time while maintaining their comfort, dignity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort residents to and from rooms, appointments, therapy sessions, dining areas, and activities
• Assist with mobility, including pushing wheelchairs or supporting residents who use walkers or canes
• Ensure residents are properly positioned and secured during transport
• Monitor residents during transit and report any concerns or changes in condition to nursing staff
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Maintain a courteous, respectful, and patient-focused attitude
• Keep transport equipment clean and in good working condition
• Communicate effectively with staff to coordinate schedules and resident needs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus
• Ability to safely assist individuals with mobility needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, attentive, and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines

Work Environment:

• Healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living centers
