Key responsibilities:
- Observing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, and updating medical charts.
- Being the first responder to medical emergencies, providing immediate care, and stabilizing patients before senior staff arrive.
- Performing examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Conducting routine procedures and assisting in complex ones.
- Regularly checking on in-patients to monitor their progress and discuss their care with the medical team.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including histories, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Acting as a liaison between patients, their families, nurses, and senior consultants.
- Assisting with patient admissions and discharges, and coordinating with other hospital staff and departments.
- Ensuring that all patient care and hospital operations comply with established protocols, regulations, and standards.
