As a Resident Services Engineer (RSE) on the Gigamon Resident Services team, you will deliver advanced network visibility and security solutions to our customers and partners, ensuring successful post-sales implementations and positive business outcomes. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing expert guidance and consulting to business units requiring network visibility and security. Your work will accelerate customer time to value, drive satisfaction, and expand the adoption of Gigamon technology across a diverse end-user community.

Collaborate with assigned customers and Gigamon account teams to deliver tailored network visibility and security solutions, and identify future opportunities for Gigamon services.

Lead the discovery, definition, and implementation of network visibility and security solutions for designated customers.

Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the engagement lifecycle, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Assess and review existing and prospective solutions, network visibility use cases, and security policies and procedures with business stakeholders.

Partner with system architects and technical teams to ensure business systems and applications meet security requirements and standards.

Support policy compliance efforts in accordance with Gigamon, industry, and regulatory privacy and security guidelines, including applicable federal and local laws.

Mentor colleagues on technical topics within your domain, including presenting on network visibility and information security.

Communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting messaging as needed.

Present engagement status reports to management and contribute to the development of new technical policies and practices.

Travel up to 50% may be required, with trip durations typically ranging from 2 days to 2 weeks within U.S. territories and facilities.

10+ years of experience as a network visibility or security engineer supporting multinational organizations.

Demonstrated ability to provide services to Federal customers, contractors, and subcontractors, with U.S. citizenship or residency as required.

Proven success leading multi-functional initiatives without formal authority and working effectively with virtual teams.

Experience with privacy and security regulations (e.g., EU Directives, SOX) in the communications industry is a plus.

Strong influencing, negotiating, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.

In-depth knowledge of security defense principles—confidentiality, integrity, and availability—and their application to various technologies.

Strongly desired: Knowledge of Cisco ACI Spine and Leaf, and practical experience with cybersecurity/information security standards and policies such as ISO 27001/27002, CIS, NIST.

Desired: Security-related industry certification (e.g., CISSP) or a degree affiliated with the NSA’s National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense or Cyber Operations.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $164,000 to $205,000, with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to the terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
