Residential Care Home Workers

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and the ability to perform various caregiving tasks. This role involves working closely with clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities, to enhance their quality of life and ensure their comfort and safety.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts if necessary.
• Document care provided using EMR systems accurately.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas:

• First aid certification is preferred.
• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings.
• Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care.
• Background in caregiving within home & community care settings or personal care homes.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and social work principles is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $28.29 per hour
