About Hartway
Hartway Remodeling is a Pittsburgh-based design-build remodeling company working on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, outdoor spaces, and whole-house renovations. Much of our work involves detailed, custom projects, including historic homes and more complex remodels. We are looking for people who take pride in craftsmanship, can solve problems in the field, and care about the finished product.
The Role
We are hiring a Carpenter to support day-to-day field work on residential remodeling projects. This is a hands-on role focused on production, craftsmanship, and working as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
You will work under the direction of a Lead Carpenter and company leadership, contributing to jobs that are organized, efficient, and built to a high standard.
Pay is based on experience and skill level.
What You’ll Do
- Perform skilled carpentry including layout, framing, blocking, trim, cabinetry support, doors, windows, finishes, and punch work
- Work from plans, scopes of work, and field direction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
- Protect finished surfaces and client property
- Plan your work for the day and stay productive without constant direction
- Coordinate with other carpenters and trade partners on site
- Communicate questions or issues early
- Track time and post updates using company systems
- Assist with punch lists and project close-out
What You’ll Bring
- Residential remodeling or construction experience
- Solid skills in finish carpentry and general building tasks
- Ability to read drawings and follow project details
- Good problem-solving ability in the field
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Personal hand and power tools appropriate for the role
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, additions, decks, or historic homes
- Window and door installation experience
- Tile, drywall, or finish work experience
- Familiarity with JobTread or similar construction software

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
