Residential Construction Forman

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all aspects of residential construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role requires a detail-oriented leader capable of supervising teams, managing schedules, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety compliance on-site. The Residential Construction Superintendent will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client specifications. Must be Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of work
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and progress assessments
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy equipment like Ohmmeters when necessary for electrical work
• Prepare and review project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
• Implement safety protocols and conduct safety meetings to ensure OSHA compliance
• Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate project costing
• Resolve on-site issues promptly by collaborating with project managers, clients, and team members
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders regarding project status, potential delays or issues

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on residential projects
• Supervising experience on active construction sites with a solid understanding of site logistics and safety protocols
• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling
• Familiarity with contracts management and construction law principles
• Ability to read technical documents including schematics and electrical diagrams; experience with Ohmmeters is a plus
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and supervise subcontractors
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to residential construction sites
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unforeseen issues efficiently
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA certification are preferred
