Residential Construction Manager/Superintendent

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager/Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. We are seeking candidates in the Charleston SC metropolitan area (or with the intent of relocating to the area immediately). This role is vital in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-leading construction management software. You will coordinate all aspects of construction activities, supervise teams, manage safety protocols, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Duties

• Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Work with Project Managers to drive project schedules to meet construction deadlines.
• Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work sites, reviewing blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Procure all materials and supplies for daily jobsite activities.
• Conduct regular safety reviews meetings and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Supervise subcontractors and construction crews; provide layouts and guidance on blueprint reading.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including daily reports, incident logs, inspection records, and progress updates.

Experience

• Proven management experience in construction projects with a strong background in supervising construction sites.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including budgeting, scheduling, blueprint reading, and quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience with construction management software; familiarity with Buildertrend is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately; experience with construction estimating is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and protocols; previous safety certification preferred.
• Supervising experience leading diverse teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
