Residential Construction Superintendent (4 years Experience Required)

Bluestone Building is a Birmingham, Al residential contractor focused on architectural upper bracket new construction, remodeling and renovation projects from $ 400,000 to over $ 3,000,000. We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, be able to manage 1 -3 projects at any given time, understand detailed construction plans, and maintain timely project schedules.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and implementation
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met
- Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee work meets standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution

- Cost management

- Review of shop drawings

- Quality control

- Preparation of punch lists and the execution of minor punch list work as needed to meet schedule and budget

- Maintaining an orderly and clean job site is mandatory

Skills:

- Strong understanding of construction documents, minor estimating and budgeting
- Daily review and assessments of work completed each day
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively work with architects and owners

- Problem solver that assesses construction drawings to locate conflicts prior to the work commencing
