Residential Counselor (2nd shift)

What you’ll do:

· Provide on-site support and supervision to residents in a group home or apartment building setting.

· Provide instruction with budgeting, community utilization, socialization, use of leisure time and activities of daily living.

· Provides trauma-informed crisis management and intervention resulting in positive outcomes. Ability to engage group of residents with mental illness and build supportive relationships.

· Accompanies residents to social-recreational activities in the community and supervises resident participation in planned activities

Qualifications:

Must possess 1 of 3.

· A bachelor’s degree (or a minimum of active/current junior standing) in any of the following: child & family studies, community mental health, counseling, education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, recreation, recreation therapy, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or speech and hearing

• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or Associate's Degree in Human Services, plus a year of paid experience in Health and Human Services
• High school diploma, plus 3 years' paid Health and Human Services experience.

Must possess valid driver's license, pass required background checks, including drug screen.

Pay: From $22.15 per hour
