Residential HVAC Installer

Duties

  • Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
  • Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately assemble and connect HVAC components
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing HVAC systems to optimize performance and energy efficiency
  • Collaborate with property maintenance teams or property owners to coordinate installation schedules and address specific system needs
  • Utilize plumbing, refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning / refrigeration) knowledge to handle complex installations or repairs
  • Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for transportation of equipment and materials between sites

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction or service technician roles with a focus on HVAC installation or maintenance
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, refrigeration systems, and boiler operation
  • Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, appliance repair, property maintenance or field service work
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R systems is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.83 - $33.51 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
