Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform system upgrades, replacements, and repairs with precision and efficiency
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to optimize performance and extend lifespan
- Troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges; diagnose mechanical or electrical faults
- Collaborate with plumbing professionals when integrating refrigerant lines or water-based heating systems
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for custom ductwork or component repairs
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Maintain detailed service records, installation reports, and maintenance logs for each project
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to support overall property functionality
Experience
- Proven construction background with hands-on experience in HVAC installation or related field service roles
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles for accurate system setup
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration (nice-to-have), boilers, and appliance repair
- Experience operating diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and refrigerant gauges for troubleshooting
- Ability to perform equipment repair tasks including welding and mechanical adjustments
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver preferred
- Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently in residential environments
- Mechanical or technical certifications related to HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly desirable
