Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system troubleshooting and perform repairs on existing HVAC units to optimize performance
- Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance procedures
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, refrigerant recharges, and equipment inspections
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical issues or mechanical faults
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or service technician roles with a focus on HVAC installation or maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in refrigeration, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system diagrams accurately
- Experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices and field service operations
- Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair instruments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Ability to work safely in various environments while adhering to safety protocols and standards
