Residential HVAC Installer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. This role involves installing Heat pumps, Furnaces, Duct work, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. A background in construction, plumbing, refrigeration is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and attention to detail, ensuring optimal comfort and safety for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems change outs including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment in residential settings
• Remove and install Duct work in attics.
• Perform system upgrades, repairs, and routine maintenance on existing HVAC units
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment
• Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper refrigerant handling
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation activities
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used.

Qualifications

• 3-5 year's experience as an installer in residential HVAC split systems (gas, electric heat pump systems, package units, duct work and service technician skills related
• Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, HVAC design, and equipment repair
• Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler systems, and property maintenance preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration systems
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices
• Construction experience or background in field service work is advantageous
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver preferred for site travel
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various residential environments
