Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform system troubleshooting and repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges to ensure optimal operation
- Connect plumbing components, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring accurately according to safety standards and technical specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance on existing HVAC equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to facilitate precise installations and repairs
- Operate welding equipment and perform minor fabrication tasks when necessary to customize or repair HVAC components
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all installations, repairs, and inspections performed in the field
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in building systems installation
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems or appliance repair
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC design principles, schematics reading, plumbing, refrigeration cycles, and boiler operation
- Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and property maintenance practices is a plus
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.36 - $30.54 per hour
