Duties

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans
• Perform system troubleshooting and repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges to ensure optimal operation
• Connect plumbing components, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring accurately according to safety standards and technical specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance on existing HVAC equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to facilitate precise installations and repairs
• Operate welding equipment and perform minor fabrication tasks when necessary to customize or repair HVAC components
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all installations, repairs, and inspections performed in the field

Skills

• Strong construction background with experience in building systems installation
• Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems or appliance repair
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC design principles, schematics reading, plumbing, refrigeration cycles, and boiler operation
• Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and property maintenance practices is a plus
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.36 - $30.54 per hour
