Residential Maintenance Mechanic

The Greenwood Housing Authority (GHA) provides housing for low income families in Greenwood ,SC and is currently accepting applications for a residential apartment maintenance person. The minimum requirements for this job are:

• The ability to be bonded, pass a SLED/FBI criminal background check, pass a pre-employment drug test and physical
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Have a valid SC driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
• Applicant must have a good knowledge of general apartment/residential unit maintenance, including proven and verifiable skills in at least one of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC.
• HVAC experience with a current refrigerant recovery certification is desirable but not required.
• Applicant must be able to promptly respond to emergency calls on nights and weekends when on-call.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly, bend, stoop, crawl, and reach.
• This position is under the South Carolina State health and pension programs.
• A Greenwood Housing Authority application will be required for consideration. Applications can be picked up at the Administrative Office at 315 Foundry Road, Greenwood.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,520.00 - $44,720.00 per year
