Position begins daily at our Charlevoix County office each morning and requires travel to residential service calls through out the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive plumbing repairs and installations in residential settings, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and system upgrades
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and plan repairs
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete tasks efficiently and safely
• Conduct system inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring long-term reliability
• Assist with remodeling projects by providing plumbing expertise for kitchen, bathroom, or basement renovations
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and safety documentation for each job performed
• Willing to do rotating on call weekends- premium offered.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction plumbing or related trades with a strong understanding of residential plumbing systems
• Familiarity with construction site procedures, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation
• Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, HVAC systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including schematics for plumbing and HVAC components
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair tasks
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installations or repairs
• Prior handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects is highly desirable
• Valid commercial driver’s license or ability to obtain one is preferred for travel between job sites

Pay: $26.11 - $31.45 per hour
