Residential Remodeling Project Manager

Jackson Design and Remodeling is looking for a Residential Remodeling Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Review the Project plans and understand the scope of the assigned work.
  • Create and maintain short-interval and look-ahead schedules that make sure upcoming events are communicated, tracked and are being proactively managed.
  • Manage and coordinate the day to day field work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner consistent with the client agreement, within the budget, and compliant with governing codes and ordinances.
  • Verify all work is performed in a professional manner; i.e. plumb, level, square, straight, etc.
  • Manage and look ahead no less than three weeks to proactively identify issues that could lead to problems or delays and actively facilitate solutions to these issues.
  • Obtain all inspections and ensure quality of work is maintained.

Requirements

  • Have residential remodel construction management experience: 5 years (Required)
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Be effective at scheduling and multitasking.
  • Have a strong knowledge of building details and products.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities
  • Have strong problem-solving skills. Be effective at conveying project problems and solutions to the project team and client.
  • Possess ability to provide cost and time effective solutions to project challenges.
  • Provide ongoing quality control and quality assurance for all construction activities.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project management software experience: (Buildertrend, Co-Construct. Procore)

This position requires the incumbent to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 50 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, smart phone and calculator. The PM will generally work a 50 – 55 hour week, but it may occasionally be necessary to work extended weekend and evening hours when specific projects are due. The normal workday is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
