Residential/Commercial Electrician- Journeyman or Experienced Trainee

Job Overview
Ridgeline Electric is a small family owned electrical contractor based in the Santa Cruz area. We are growing and are looking for another experienced electrician to add to the team. We are seeking someone with experience in residential electrical work, and commercial experience is a plus. State certification is not required to apply, but would also be preferred. If you do not have your certification we help pay for school so that you can pass the state test. You will need a reliable vehicle and electricians hand tools. We work mostly in the Santa Cruz area, but sometimes travel to San Jose or Fremont for a couple commercial and industrial clients. Please do not apply at this time if you do not have at least 4 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment.
• Work on construction sites to renovate existing electrical systems or install new ones.
• Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrician, Residential or Commercial.
• Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Experience working on construction sites.
• Ability to work together and be part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
