Resource Development Assistant

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Resource Development Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Executive Director and Director of Operations to help advance the organization's fundraising, donor engagement, and resource development efforts. This position plays a key role in maintaining donor records, supporting fundraising events, processing donations, coordinating donor acknowledgments, and assisting with grant administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.

Essential Responsibilities

Donor Database & Gift Administration

  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect records within the organization's donor database/CRM.
  • Process and record donations, pledges, and sponsorships in a timely manner.
  • Assist with donor data entry, updates, reporting, and database clean-up projects.
  • Generate donor lists, mailing lists, and fundraising reports as needed.

Donor Stewardship & Communications

  • Prepare and coordinate donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and thank-you communications.
  • Assist with donor mailings and stewardship activities.
  • Support donor recognition efforts and maintain organized donor files.
  • Help track donor engagement activities and follow-up actions.

Event Support

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and community engagement events.
  • Support event logistics including registration, check-in, setup, breakdown, and attendee communications.
  • Help coordinate event materials, volunteer support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist with sponsor and donor recognition related to events.

Grant & Resource Development Support

  • Maintain grant tracking systems, deadlines, and documentation.
  • Assist with organizing grant applications, reports, and supporting materials.
  • Help maintain records of grant submissions, awards, and reporting requirements.
  • Support research and administrative tasks related to fundraising opportunities.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate mailings, filing, document management, and general office tasks.
  • Schedule meetings and assist with preparation of development-related materials.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior administrative, nonprofit, customer service, or office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with donor databases, CRMs, or fundraising software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • resource development and/or fundraising: 2 years (Preferred)
