Job Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner II - Transport is responsible for the planning and delivery of family-centered patient care utilizing the respiratory care process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for coordinating respiratory care for patients based on established clinical respiratory practice standards and protocols. Collaborates with patient/family and other professional disciplines to create a partnership which ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery for the achievement of mutually desired patient outcomes. Support the organization's vision and mission by promoting and providing excellence in respiratory care. Accountable and responsible for deliverance of respiratory care for all aged pediatric and neonatal patients requiring medical Advanced Life Support (ALS) or medical Critical Care Transport (CCT) under the supervision and in collaboration with a Transport Clinical Nurse and CHOC Children's Physician. Accurately assesses, attempts to restore and maintains the well being of the ill and/or injured pediatric or neonatal patient during intrafacility or interfacility ALS or CCT transport. Obtains and maintains competency in advanced scope of practice skills which include intubation, intraosseous insertion, needle thoracentesis, and resuscitation.Pay Range
Minimum $39.49 Midpoint $52.33 Maximum $65.16Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
